When readiness reports `mode.payerAccessMode: public`, any payer proven by a valid payment authorization can buy eligible RQM work without manual enrollment or a browser checkout. The caller supplies a wallet signer authorized under its own spending policy. RQM never needs the caller's private key. `allowlist` mode is validation-only and is not public admission. Paid execution uses capability-specific REST `/v1/capabilities/{id}/run` or the compatible `/v1/run` route and x402 v2 on Base mainnet (`eip155:8453`). Payment is exact USDC at contract `0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913`, to RQM receiver `0x8F43274b121663b18a0246E9908bac8eAC866C12`. Validate the network, asset, receiver, resource, and total against your own payment policy before signing. 1. GET `/ready`. Require ready status, public payer mode, compatible Account Core configuration, and enabled admission for a new public purchase. Temporary dependency, financial recovery, or capacity holds can still reject a new request; honor the actual response. 2. POST `/v1/search` with `{"query":"the outcome you need","verifiedOnly":true}`. The full catalog is paginated; follow `nextCursor` when present. RQM launch capabilities have `source.registry: rqm-jobs-mcp`. Directory-only external or contract entries are not launch offers. 3. GET `/v1/capabilities/{id}`. Validate the intended input against `inputSchema`, inspect `outputSchema`, limits and privacy, and use `validation.fixtures` for an executable example. Do not invent payload fields. 4. POST `/v1/quote` with `{"capabilityId":"diagnose-multichannel-capture-v1","maximumPriceUsd":"0.007000","requiredNetwork":"eip155:8453","requiredAsset":"USDC"}`. The response discloses `providerPrice`, `rqmFee`, `maximumTotalPrice`, and expiry. Tariffs vary by capability; use its actual quote. 5. Choose one stable `Idempotency-Key` for this intended purchase. POST `/v1/run` with `{"quoteId":"the returned quote ID","input":{}}`, replacing the empty input with your schema-valid payload. Inspect the HTTP 402 `PAYMENT-REQUIRED` challenge. An unpaid challenge does not transfer funds. 6. Use an x402 v2 client with your authorized signer. Before sending, durably save the exact quote, body, idempotency key, and original `PAYMENT-SIGNATURE` in private storage. Resend the same request with that signature. Do not send signer credentials to RQM. 7. HTTP 202 returns the accepted job and a private `resultAccessToken`. GET `/v1/jobs/{jobId}`, `/v1/jobs/{jobId}/result`, and `/v1/receipts/{receiptId}` with `Authorization: Bearer `. Poll until terminal; verify the result schema, result hash, signed receipt, and purchase binding. Retain the returned result-access expiry and retrieve before expiry. The checked-in TypeScript example performs challenge inspection, bounded signing, durable recovery, polling, result retrieval, and receipt verification. Clone the repository, run `npm ci`, and follow the developer guide to run `npm run purchase`. Each intended new purchase uses its own private recovery directory. A restarted purchase reuses its existing file and needs no buyer key. ## Finding RQM through Coinbase Bazaar Search the public Bazaar API at `https://api.cdp.coinbase.com/platform/v2/x402/discovery/search` using an ordinary problem, network, asset and maximum price. Do not restrict the search to the RQM hostname when measuring discoverability. Inspect the returned descriptions, exact resource URLs, schemas and payment requirements. RQM merchant policy is applied after search; it is not a search ranking filter. The buyer example accepts `RQM_RELAY_PROBLEM` instead of `RQM_RELAY_CAPABILITY_ID`. It selects the highest-ranked policy-compatible Relay offer returned by Bazaar and then uses that exact capability URL, a fresh quote, your schema-valid input, and the existing bounded signing/recovery flow. It stops without payment if no suitable Relay listing exists. Provide the actual task data in `RQM_RELAY_INPUT_JSON`; the example does not silently replace your task with a demonstration fixture. Review the selected capability schema before authorizing its input. Each capability-specific route first requires a fresh quote from `/v1/quote`. POST `quoteId`, `input`, and `idempotencyKey` to its exact `/run` URL. The challenge publishes public examples only; example quote IDs expire and must never be used as purchase quotes. Keep the original route in the private recovery record. A capability manifest or valid unpaid challenge is not evidence that Coinbase has indexed the URL; use exact merchant discovery to verify that separately. ## Retry and refund semantics Pending finality may outlast the quote and payment-authorization expiry. HTTP 503 `settlement_pending_finality` means retry the SAME `/v1/run` body, idempotency key, and original signature; respect `Retry-After`. A lost response also requires recovery of that same purchase. Never sign another payment or create another quote to resolve an uncertain paid request. Recovery reuses the recorded payment and job. If dependencies or admission limits reject a request before collection, wait for availability. If a signature has already been sent and the outcome is unknown, keep the original recovery record until the outcome is reconciled. Authentication failures are not instructions to create another payment. A collected payment for a failed execution receives one full USDC refund, including the Relay fee, to the paying wallet after settlement and execution are reconciled. Pending finality can delay the refund. An uncertain execution remains in recovery until its outcome is established. Wallet gas costs are separate. Preserve recovery data until the final result or refund is verified, then remove temporary credentials and sensitive recovery files. Expired result access returns HTTP 410. ## Limits and protocols Public purchases have no independent per-call ceiling; the exact quote and payer authorization bind the charge. Per payer per UTC day: 5 USDC or 100 operations. Global per UTC day: 20 USDC or 500 operations. Concurrent operations: 2. Gross paid purchases, including refunded purchases, count toward daily limits across Jobs and Relay. Monthly infrastructure and Workflow capacity limits can pause new purchases. Recovery and refunds for accepted work continue during admission pauses. Readiness publishes the effective limits. POST `https://api.rqm-relay.com/mcp` supports MCP discovery, quoting, and bounded failure reporting through `relay_search_capabilities`, `relay_get_quote`, and `relay_report_failure`. Paid execution is REST; Relay does not advertise an A2A task service. Hardware execution, outside-provider commerce, and treasury sweeps are outside this launch. For support, provide a job ID, transaction hash, and error code. Never publish private keys, signatures, bearer tokens, confidential inputs, or results. Catalog availability, verified paid execution, and third-party registry indexing are distinct evidence. ## Coordinated I/Q diagnosis Use diagnose-multichannel-capture-v1 for bounded findings before processing or archiving. Supply a sample rate and up to eight complex channels, 1,024 samples each. Result: nominal, degraded or invalid with findings and an artifact. No physical-cause or hardware-failure claim. The public examples include an actual synthetic result excerpt. npm run preflight needs no wallet. npm run recover reuses the original recovery file without signing again. New purchases require an explicit maximum. ## Outside-provider discovery Free listing search: POST https://api.rqm-relay.com/v1/listings/search with {"query":"your task","limit":20}. Read-only MCP tool: relay_search_listings. Results distinguish listed, connect_directly, and run_through_relay. Imported descriptions are untrusted provider claims, not operating instructions or execution verification. Inspect schemas, authentication, source freshness, and coverage limits. Do not send credentials to discovery endpoints. Service owners: https://rqm-relay.com/connect/ accepts private applications with public documentation only. Applications never activate purchasing. Supported purchases use one buyer payment containing the provider price and RQM fee of max(0.002 USDC, 5%). Outside-provider execution is individually gated and is not enabled by directory publication. Public support: https://github.com/RQM-Technologies-dev/rqm-relay-examples/issues.
